Ignazio Argento was born in 1917 in Oakland, California USA. Musician and instrument maker until his retirement in 1975.
Pupil of Niels Van Valkenburgh. Made Stradivari and Guarneri models using commercially prepared oil varnish. Credited with 36 violins, six violas, and three bows.
This full size violin is in very good condition, and was recently serviced and ready to play. Includes case and bow.
