This is a Martin Committee III Alto Saxophone, manufactured in 1959-60 in very good condition.
This model represents the best saxophones that Martin had to offer, with some of the best ergonomics of the vintage American horns, thick soldered toneholes, and a magnificent sound. With elaborate bell engraving and art-deco keyguards, this horn really is a beauty.
The body of this saxophone is in great shape, with a couple small dings in the bow. The original lacquer is georgeous, with some wear that is typical for its age. The pads are in good condition, and the saxophone was just given a Playing Condition service in our repair shop. The neck is original with matching serial number.
The sound of this saxophone is lovely, with a dark and centered tone, even and balanced throughout the range. The response is excellent.
Includes original hard case in very good condition.
