Selmer Paris Mark VI Alto Saxophone - 1975

This is a freshly overhauled 1975 Selmer Mark VI Alto Saxophone, Serial #: M236474.

Not only is this one of the latest Mark VI altos we've seen, but it also has one of the best relacquer jobs we've ever seen. The engraving is clear and crisp. It's certain that a great deal of care was put into refinishing this horn. There are a couple spots where the lacquer has worn through, but it is otherwise cosmetically immaculate.

This horn has just undergone a full mechanical overhaul in our repair shop. It has been outfitted with Pisoni Pro pads with domed plastic resonators. The keywork has had extensive refitting, and the action is smooth, balanced, and quiet. The response is exquisite, with evenness of tone throughout the range. Simply put, this horn is a joy to play.
